Name

Since Switzerland has more than one official language, the Swiss Scout and Guide Movement also has several official names. On international level, the Swiss Scout and Guide Movement is known officially by its French name (Mouvement Scout de Suisse, MSdS).

Courses attended

The Swiss Scout and Guide Movement offers over 20 different training courses every year, from basic leadership education to coaching, training courses for local group leaders and specialization courses on winter activities or mountain hiking. These courses are attended every year by 8’000 young men and women to prepare them for their future responsibilities as leaders.
